dominated by ripe tropical fruits and balanced by a lovely mineral structure
Expressive
Subtle mouthfeel
A much sought-after single malt with the massive peat-smoke that's typical of southern Islay - but also offering a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting dram
Domaine de Montille, Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru, 2021 (Case) Campbeltown dominated by ripe tropical fruitsOn the nose, the Corton Grand Cru Clos du Roi is showing aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, burning embers, grilled squab, black truffle and rich soil tones. On the palate, it is full bodied, deep and concentrated, with an elegantly muscular chassis of powdery tannins, lively acids, and a long, resot finish.
