Combining traditional craftmanship with innovative approaches
which I had when I was a child
rainy and miserable weather in Helsinki early January and I started missing colorful and warm spring
Painting from my exhibition ”With Soft Eyes” at galleria Loisti
Autograph Symbolic Combining traditional craftmanship with innovativeInk on painted 5mm wood fibre board. This piece is both a study and a rehearsal in writing ones own signature a process through which the written words are gradually abstracted into an illegible form, eventually stripped of textual meaning and perceived purely as visual expression. The work was displayed as part of ONOMA's 2023 summer exhibition in Fiskars, Finland themed Arts & Crafts and Rabbit Holes, curated by Kirsi Pitknen.
