Remaining in sound overall condition this pug has some very small areas of loss to his decoration and to the plasterwork beneath

Although she is rather tricky to date precisely we feel she is certainly second half of the eighteenth century and of French origin

Furniture making using fish skin was popular especially in France during the Art Deco period

It suffers from minor losses with some flaking of paint and there is some nice craquelure to the surface
