The work was exhibited in Galleria G in 2025
Conceptually I wanted to flip the gaze back from the painting
Metsänpohjaiset kaviot, mustarastas ja kultakivi Colourful WatercolourThis piece from the Tragic Ponies series explores themes from Finnish folk belief, such as the concept of metsnpeitto (being hidden by the forest), death and the acceptance of death, returning to nature, and the human relationship with the natural world. The Tragic Ponies series explores my complex relationship with the keeping of animals, a tragic My Little Pony theft from my childhood, and the mysterious animal icons found around the world.
