Domaine Taupenot Merme, Gevrey Chambertin, Burgundy, France, 2017 (Case) Bierzo Notes of figA beautiful core of ripe red cherry and raspberry aromas, layered with hints of forest floor and subtle spice. On the palate, it is medium bodied with smooth tannins and a fresh, vibrant acidity that carries the wine through to a lingering, mineral tinged finish. The wine is approachable now but promises further complexity with a few more years of cellaring.
