Ocotillo #6 Framed While the heeler is stillThe strangest plant I've ever seen. On that same camping trip as the Yucca print describes, I sketched a handful of ocotillo's. With their heavily textured appearance it can be difficult to know how much detail to include and how much to leave out in order to portray the right image. Using a rocking motion with the carving tool I was able to give it texture and life.
