Susser Georg Fig Category_Romance contemporarySusser Georg figs ripen late in the season, and growers have noted the extra long hang time that is necessary for this variety to fully ripen. Growers with shorter seasons have had success with potting these in containers and bringing them indoors to protect from the elements. If you have a long growing season, these late ripening figs will certainly be worth the wait. This variety is said to be a favorite of fig grower, Bill, of Off the Beaten Path
