Pleiades Setting, 24x24" OIL ON PANEL cat In Roman mythologySleeping cats stretch out over a celestial expanse drawn from the 3600 year old Nebra Sky Disc, a favourite artefact of the artist and the oldest accurate image of the night sky in all human history. The celestial scene features Pleiades, a cluster of stars known as The Daughters of Atlas, that sets as earth rests in the Fall, and rises again as new life grows in the Spring. This original oil painting on wood panel measures 12 x 12" with a 1. 6" edge
